Today, more than ever, academic institutions should focus on molding and shaping young people to transform the world. This is imperative to prevent youth from becoming conditioned by today's challenges, thus making them devoid of emotions, incapable of forming community bonds, and turning into organizational "drones" trained for specific jobs. Therefore, the following questions are raised:
- How do we prepare young people to transform the world?
- What kind of educational experiences should they receive?
- What kind of educators are needed to guide them and
- What type of leadership is necessary?
Therefore, a new educational paradigm is urgently needed to prepare young people to become tomorrow's leaders with ethos, which will make the world a better place to live in for the benefit of all people. Such a paradigm, global Morfosis paradigm (gMp), will be presented.
Dr. Stefanos Gialamas is the President of the American Community Schools Athens (ACS Athens) in Greece; he began his presidency fourteen years ago. He has published more than 150 articles in both English and Greek languages, four books, a chapter book, and many manuals.
He has developed an authentic education paradigm, the Global Morfosis Paradigm (www.g-morfosis.gr), which has been implemented at ACS Athens for the past decade. This dynamic paradigm consists of three inseparable, interconnected, and interrelated components: the Educational Philosophy of Morfosis the iFlex Delivery Methodology, and the Aristeia Leadership Approach
