Vicki Harte - Administrator

Over the last 15 years Vicki’s professional experience has predominantly been working in HE administration and student support in the UK and New Zealand. She has also lived and/or worked in a variety of countries including Sri Lanka, Australia, Switzerland and Italy.  

In 2009 she returned to her studies and gained an FdSc Development Geography degree and a BSc (Hons) Geography degree – First Class. Vicki focused on human geography and international development, specifically working in the development sector and exploring international and comparative education. Vicki’s field research included a study on the education provision for Deaf students in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and the role of UNRWA/UNESCO in refugee education in Jordan.

More recently she completed her MSc in International Development at Bristol University, and again focused on Education, Development and the Third Sector. Her dissertation looked at the role of education policy in addressing intergenerational disadvantage in indigenous Australian families.

Currently she is an administrator for a small charity that supports refugee and asylum-seeking women and children in Bristol, UK and since May 2016 has held the role of administrator for the Alliance for International Education.
